TRAVEL WARNING!
If you are going out of the good ole USA don't take your kids if you can't keep them with you at all times. My dad was in the Air Force. He was stationed in Germany and the whole family got to go also. While we was there I was only about 4 yrs. old and we took a trip to Italy. I remember the leaning tower of pisa, we walked up a circle staircase to the top and went out on the deck. I remember my mom holding my hand and my brother John's hand afraid we would run around and fall off. John didn't like it he thought he was too big to be treated like a kid whose mom wouldn't let go of his hand. I don't remember going down the stairs. What kids can remember.
Being a little kid I guess they wanted to do some sight seeing without me. (older brothers were ok) Being catholic they found this daycare in a convent and left me there for the day with the nuns and other kids. No one spoke English there just me. I could tell they were talking about me but couldn't understand them. They would block the door to the outside playground so I couldn't go outside. I was really glad when my mom and dad came back and got me. To this day don't tell me your from Italy, Because I won't like you. The things you remember as a kid. Bits and pieces.
The next trip they took was to Holland, they gave me a choice do I want to go with them or stay with some friends while they went. I choose to stay with the friends. They got me a pair of wooden shoes while they were there.
